On June 3rd Guatemala had the most violent volcanic eruption in 45 years. Hundreds had lost their life being buried in volcanic ash and hundreds were still missing in the coming weeks. Jorge Flores, a native Panamanian, was living in the US as a missionary and planning a return to Panama in June 2019 called me and asked if I was interested in doing a film project with him. He wanted to go down to Guatemala under the Four Square Church umbrella and bring supplies to the people and help encourage them. To me it was a no brainer, Christ calls us to the nations and to love His people. By the end of June we had tickets bought and were on a plane July 8th and returning on the 13th. We each took a suitcase full of clothes, hygiene supplies, and other miscellaneous items that may be helpful to leave with those affected.
Our local newspaper, The Herald Whig, even did a story on us.
